County expands recycling and hazardous-waste collections, secures conservation block grant funding

Becca also said the county is moving forward with a $100,000 conservation block grant administered via the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency under a U.S. EPA program; she noted uncertainty about the timing of federal fund transfers and whether the grant would be affected by broader federal changes.
Becca listed upcoming meetings related to landfill and food council work and apologized for an earlier calendar error about a landfill-committee meeting date.
