During the consent agenda, the board accepted a series of donations read by a board member. Noted gifts included $3,000 from the VFW for girls soccer, $2,500 from the VFW for the dance team, $1,500 from the VFW for the high school student council, and a $40,000 gift from the Donald W. and Marilyn Anderson Foundation directed by the Anderson family in memory of Susan Rudaceli. The Anderson gift was designated in part for microscopes and other science equipment and to support an 8th-grade STEM project. Additional donations recorded included funding and in-kind support for robotics, books, and classroom materials from several local organizations and the district education foundation.
After the finance discussion and the consent agenda presentation, the board approved both items by voice votes. The superintendent highlighted upcoming dates and events, including a legislative breakfast and a career fair the district will host in March.
The board's motion to accept the finance report and to approve the consent agenda carried without recorded roll-call tallies.
