Tipton leaders say $2 million bond secured for baseball project; planning and community collaboration ongoing

Schmicker said municipal leaders are pursuing a collaborative approach to reduce duplication and ensure the facility meets several community needs — baseball, softball, soccer and other youth sports — and that stakeholders have been willing to make concessions in planning discussions. He said the city has a "really great group" working on the project and plans to present a project to the community once scoping and synthesis are complete.
No construction timeline, contractor awards, or final budget beyond the bond authorization were provided on the podcast. Officials said ground has not been broken and that project details will be released when a formal plan is ready for community review.
