District 300 launches districtwide cell phone policy survey for parents, students and staff

District staff said results and subsequent focus groups will inform possible refinements to District 300’s cell phone policies and procedures. Students in grades 4–12 will have the opportunity to take the survey at school, and staff were also invited to participate. The public-facing announcement directed respondents to visit d300.org for the survey and additional information and listed a completion deadline of Friday, Feb. 7.
The district did not provide specific survey question text or describe how results will be weighted or publicly reported; staff said feedback and focus-group input will help the district better understand in-school cell-phone use and policy impacts on students, families and staff.
