Lake County Partners reports $251 million in new investment, 541 new jobs in 2024

Member Hunter, delivering the Lake County Partners update, said the agency’s pipeline includes 45 additional projects and highlighted growth in advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and sustainable energy. Hunter noted several local company developments, including Heathrow Scientific’s plan to consolidate operations into a roughly 13,000-square-foot facility in Vernon Hills and new investments by companies such as Thomas Food International, Helix International, Start Early Educare, Thakar Entertainment and Pizza Ranch.
Hunter also said Kevin Considine was named president of the Greater Chicagoland Economic Partnership, a regional collaboration that Lake County joined to market the region globally. Hunter announced Lake County Partners’ annual networking "Big Event" will return May 1 at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, with County Board Chair Sandy Hart as featured speaker.
