Commission plans site visit after restoration work at Gully Road reached milestones under enforcement order

Commission staff informed the Conservation Commission that restoration work required under an enforcement order for the Gully Road property (Sconset) has met the goals outlined in the approved restoration and landscape management plan. The work addressed large-scale removal of invasive Japanese knotweed and a multi-year planting/monitoring program required by the enforcement order.
Staff said the property manager and restoration contractor (Wilkinson) expect to continue some maintenance and monitoring, and the current restoration plan period has concluded. The commission agreed a site visit by commissioners is warranted before issuing a formal letter acknowledging completion. Commissioners and staff asked that the property owner, the Land Bank (where applicable) and the restoration project manager be invited to the site visit.
The commission directed staff to circulate possible site-visit dates, invite involved parties and bring a draft acknowledgment letter back to the commission for consideration.
