Committee sets April 27 date for Cruisers Appreciation Day; organizers sketch vendors, meals and permit steps

The Mooring Field Committee tentatively scheduled Cruisers Appreciation Day for Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Bayside Park and began work on logistics including informational booths, raffle fundraising, vendor and sponsor outreach, a meal‑voucher plan for mooring-field voters, and coordination with local businesses and Beach Talk Radio.

"For the record, this is April tentatively, April 27th, which is a Sunday from 1 o'clock to 3:30," the chair announced to the committee. Committee members agreed that the 1–3:30 window leaves time for a concert at 4 p.m. and gives staff a break to clear the park before the evening band.
