The Lebanon City Council approved a nomination of Steve Day to the Lebanon Fire Merit Board at its Jan. 27 meeting. The nomination was seconded by Councilor Keith Campbell and approved by voice vote.
A council member nominated Day, saying he is a “Lebanon resident, lifelong Lebanon resident” who has “always expressed an interest to be involved on some type of board where the city was involved with the July 4th committee for many, many, many years.” The council member’s remarks noted Day may still be on that committee’s executive committee.
Councilor Keith Campbell seconded the nomination. The mayor called for those in favor; members responded “aye,” and no opposition was recorded on the audio transcript. The mayor declared the appointment approved.
The action recorded at the meeting was a nomination and confirmation; no additional terms, duties, or start date were specified in the transcript.
