Coalition reports 99 people found in recent unsheltered PIT count; volunteers helped connect some to services

Funk said volunteers found 99 individuals who were unsheltered during the 24‑hour count and that 15 households had already come into emergency shelter because of the city’s code‑blue response on that night. She said volunteers connected some people to services, including the Lebanon Rescue Mission and a drop‑in center run by Step Into Life at Lebanon County Christian Ministries.
Funk said the PIT effort mobilized about 60 volunteers and involved roughly 20 different agencies and organizations. She said the count aimed both to build awareness and to connect people to services; the outreach led to several people entering shelters and strengthened relationships with others who remained on the street.
Council members and the mayor thanked volunteers and partner agencies. The report was informational; no council action was recorded during the meeting.
