Board updates meeting-room AV fees, adjusts nonprofit rate and approves Easter closing on 2025 calendar

Trustees voted to raise audiovisual (AV) fees for the Sievert (Phaedra) meeting room: rates that were $10 were increased to $20 for Franklin-based for‑profit users and $40 for for‑profit users located outside Franklin; the board also adjusted nonprofit 501(c)(3) fees for a four‑hour block from $25 down to $20 for consistency with other categories. Board discussion noted the upgraded AV equipment and that the AV fee increase would help cover wear and tear and eventual replacement costs.
Separately, the board approved an amendment to the 2025 library calendar to close the library on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Jennifer said patron traffic is typically minimal on Easter and that the change formalizes past practice.
The board asked staff to publish updated fee schedules and calendar changes and to monitor booking impacts of the new charges.
