Council approves municipal water and sewer purchases, pipe-lining work orders and construction payouts

Chase described cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining as a trenchless method that extends pipe life, reduces inflow and infiltration and avoids cutting streets. He said the priority selection uses pipe age, CCTV inspection data and the number of customer callouts to target work where it yields the best return.
On the WWTP payout, Chase told the council the contractor has accumulated weather days and that the contractual beneficial‑use date is March 31; staff said they will update the council at the next meeting about change orders and the contractor’s schedule. Chase also said the utility had released the first 10 applicants from its availability waitlist for flow allocations and that six remained on the list.
