The superintendent said the district’s FY25 operating budget was “just over $7,000,000” and that the FY26 draft “comes in right now at 8.2 million with offsets at 9.763 million.” He told the committee those offsets total about $1.5 million as of Jan. 27.
The budget narrative presented to the committee places salaries as the largest single cost, accounting for roughly 69% of the spending plan. The superintendent said salaries include teachers, support staff and administrators and that final figures remain projections while the district is in contract negotiations with its teachers’ union and other bargaining units.
