The City of Santa Fe Finance Committee on Jan. 27 approved three procurement contracts on the consent agenda and heard that the city’s FY24 audit has been released and will be presented at the committee’s Feb. 10 meeting and to the governing body on Feb. 12.

• Marty Sanchez Golf Course and Municipal Recreation Sports Complex pond repairs (Agenda item L): Contract awarded to Mountain West Golfscapes Inc. to repair irrigation supply and ornamental ponds for compliance with a corrective action plan in the amount of $2,213,247.69 (excluding NMGRT) for a three‑year term. Staff said the installed pond liner material will be a 60‑mil fabric with a manufacturer defect guarantee of five years and an average life expectancy of 20–25 years; the largest ponds serve irrigation for the golf course and adjacent sports fields.
• Asset management software and implementation services (Agenda item shown as Virtosoft/OpenGov): Contract awarded for asset‑management software and implementation not to exceed $1,913,591.72 including NMGRT for a five‑year term. Staff said the city conducted a formal evaluation process including scripted vendor demonstrations and reference checks; the selected vendor (identified in the evaluation as OpenGov) provided satisfactory references from other municipal users and staff included operational units in the selection to increase adoption success.
Each contract passed on roll call votes. Recorded affirmative votes on these items included Councilors Cassatt, Lindell, Faulkner, Lee Garcia and Chair Romero Wirth.
Staff announced that the city’s FY24 audit was released and will be presented by Carr, Riggs & Ingram (as stated) at the Feb. 10 Finance Committee meeting and to the governing body on Feb. 12; the audit report is posted on the State Auditor’s and the city’s websites.
