Raymore council approves city manager contract, advances hazardous-waste and generator agreements; moves to executive session

Raymore City Council on Jan. 27 unanimously approved an extended and amended employment agreement with City Manager Jim Purborn, approved the consent agenda, advanced two procurement-related ordinances on first reading and voted to move into executive session to discuss real estate acquisition under Missouri law.

The council approved the second reading and adoption of Bill 3939, described in the meeting as "an ordinance of the City of Raymore, Missouri authorizing the mayor to enter into an extended and amended employment agreement with Jim Purborn for the services of city manager." Council member Holman moved to approve and Council member Barber seconded; the motion carried unanimously (6-0).
