Phase 1 of auditorium refresh complete; phases 2 and 3 to be presented to board

Perkiomen Valley School District staff told the Safety and Operations Committee that phase 1 of auditorium work is nearing completion and that the district will seek board approval in February to move forward with phases 2 and 3, pending final vendor proposals.
A staff member said the vendor will finish phase 1 items and that a rigging inspection is expected by the end of the month. Phase 1 is "at or a little under budget and is completed on time," the presenter said. The staff estimate for phase 2 is about $460,000 with a two- to three-month installation window; phase 3 is estimated at roughly $250,000 with about two months of installation time.
"The phase 1 is nearing its completion...the rigging inspection, which we anticipate to be completed by end of this month," a staff member said. "We anticipate based on the previous estimates...phase 2 to cost around $460,000, with a timeline of 2 to 3 months for that installation. And the phase 3 is around $250,000 with a timeline of about 2 months for the implementation."
Staff said they will present updated proposals to the committee and, if the committee concurs, both phases will be bundled for full board approval in February. The presenter noted some line items are needs and others are wants; the final vendor proposals will determine which tasks proceed in the requested timeline.
