City IT says Granicus update gives access to rebuild "Residents Right to Know" portal; phased rollout expected within 30 days

Frank Catona, the city's IT director, told the committee that Granicus has released an updated version of its application that provides the access and functionality the city needs to rebuild the Residents Right to Know portion of the civic portal.

"As of last week, they released a new version of the application that finally gave us access to the portion that we need to rebuild the residents right to know portion, and we're actively developing that," Catona said. He reported the team received a working sample and said staff hope to have the rebuilt feature implemented within the next 30 days pending final testing.

Committee members said the residents' portal has been a high priority because residents reported information gaps and an onerous manual process at the clerk's office. The chair asked IT to carry the item forward to the next meeting so commissioners can see the progress.

No ordinance or formal action was taken; staff will return with implementation updates and a demonstration for committee members.
