Moreno Valley approves temporary closure of Davis Road to curb illegal dumping near Mystic Lake

Moreno Valley City Council voted unanimously Wednesday to temporarily close a stretch of Davis Road between Alessandro Boulevard and the road’s terminus to reduce illegal dumping and other nuisance activity.
Public Works Director Melissa Walker told the council the closure would be implemented with a highly visible reflective pipe gate and a multi-lock system to allow restricted access for emergency services and adjacent property owners. "The road closure will help to mitigate the public nuisance activity," Walker said during the staff report.
