Council approves grant appropriations and adopts electric‑vehicle charging permitting code

On the successor agency calendar the council adopted Resolution SA-2501-01, approving and adopting a recognized obligation payment schedule under California Health and Safety Code section 34177(i). On the city consent calendar the council adopted two budget modification resolutions: a fiscal year 2024–25 budget modification to appropriate $13,688 from the Bureau of Justice Assistance Edward Byrne JAG Program into the city’s intergovernmental grants fund (Resolution CC-2501-001) and a budget modification to appropriate $58,728 in 2023 State Homeland Security Program grant funds into the city’s intergovernmental grants fund (Resolution CC-2501-002).
Also on the consent calendar the council adopted Ordinance No. 3286-25 on second reading, adding Chapter 28 (Electric Vehicle Charging Stations) to Title 9 of the Redondo Beach Municipal Code to provide an expedited, streamlined permitting process for EV charging station installation.
