The approvals, each made by voice vote and recorded as carrying 5-0, were procedural but identified several substantive items scheduled for council consideration. Committee members noted agenda items including Section 3.3, which lists options for expanding alternative response for 911 calls; a Levitt Pavilion grant for St. James Park; an abandoned shopping-cart policy (item 7.2); and item 5.1, a parking garage and service-lot management matter at the airport. The committee also noted three items to be heard in Section 3 for the Jan. 28 agenda: appointment of a vice mayor, the annual report on city services, and an interim appointment for City Council District 3.
Committee members raised a brief procedural question about a ceremonial item for Black History Month, which one member said had been submitted to the mayor’s office and might not yet have been forwarded to the clerk for placement on the Feb. 4 agenda. No public commenters spoke during the meeting.
The committee’s actions were limited to approving the published agendas and consent package; substantive debate and formal decisions on the listed items are scheduled for the full City Council on the dates shown on the agendas. The meeting adjourned at about 2:04 p.m.
