- Successor Agency minutes (Item 1): The council approved minutes for the City of Long Beach as successor agency to the former redevelopment agency, meeting of Sept. 3, 2024. Public comment was not received; motion carried.
- Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule (ROPS) 2025–26 (Item 2): The council approved the draft Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule for the period July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 (citywide). No public comment was recorded; motion carried.
- Consent calendar (multiple items): The council approved the consent calendar, which staff said would allocate nearly $2,000,000 in municipal contracting resources across multiple firms, including items identified at the meeting as Nos. 13, 14, 15 and 19. Councilmember Thrash Ntuk spoke in support of prioritizing local-business participation prior to the vote. Motion carried.
- Zafferia Parking and Business Improvement Area (BID) (Item 24): The council received the annual report, concluded the public hearing and adopted the resolution continuing the assessment levy for districts 2, 3 and 4. No protests were sustained; motion carried.
- Long Beach Tourism Business Improvement Area annual report (Item 26): The council approved the annual report and set the public hearing date for Feb. 4, 2025. Motion carried.
- Short-term rentals ordinance (Item 28): The City Attorney requested withdrawal of the ordinance for substantive changes; the item was withdrawn and the city attorney said it will be returned to the council on Jan. 21, 2025.
Several items generated public comment but no additional formal actions were taken at this meeting beyond those recorded above. The council also directed staff on two separate substantive matters — strengthening the Long Beach Values Act and drafting a wage-ordinance update for airport and convention-concession workers — which are reported in separate articles.
