The Long Beach City Council approved the consent calendar items 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 after staff reported no public comment on those items. Item 4 was pulled for discussion and, after a brief staff presentation from the Health Department and council questions, the council approved item 4 as well. The council also received and filed a communication from Mayor Richardson that contained a new list of City Council standing committees, authorities and memberships.
There were no public comments on the consent calendar items when they were called. During the vote on the set of remaining consent items the chair asked for confirmation of votes; the audio records the motion carrying. The mayor’s communication to receive and file the updated committee assignments likewise drew no public comment and was approved.
