Goodyear planning commission elects chair and vice chair, approves minutes and excuses two members

The Goodyear Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 15, 2025 voted to excuse two members from the meeting, approved the draft minutes of its Dec. 10, 2024 meeting and elected its chair and vice chair for 2025.
A motion to excuse the two absent commissioners was offered and the commission recorded the motion as passed. The commission then approved the draft minutes from Dec. 10, 2024 after a motion and second were entered; the chair announced the motion passed.
The commission accepted a nomination to continue Chairman Clymer in the chair role. After the nomination and a second, commissioners voted to retain Clymer as chair for 2025.
For vice chair, a nomination was made for Commissioner Sambito; that nomination received a second and the commission voted to confirm Sambito as vice chair.
All formal actions were entered during the meeting's opening agenda items. The secretary called the roll at the start of the meeting and confirmed a quorum before staff read motions and recorded votes.
