Board recognizes county transportation director Panos as County Engineer Association ‘Engineer of the Year’

Panos accepted the plaque and thanked staff and the county team. The board asked for a photograph with Panos and DOT staff.
Supervisors described the award as spotlighting rural-county representation at state and national forums and highlighted Panos’ participation on panels, including meetings with Caltrans and FEMA partners. Board members noted that the department operates with a small staff and that storm damage and the county’s terrain present ongoing challenges.
