Delegation OKs technical fix to theater Class C alcohol application

Senator Karen Lo Suong presented revised language for a Class C theater alcohol-license application that removed an inappropriate mandate requiring the president and two officers to sign the application. The updated text allows "the manager of the theater or any other official designated by the theater" to sign the application.
A member moved the bill and a second was recorded. The delegation approved the change by voice vote with no opposition and agreed to convert the measure into delegation bills in both the House and the Senate and submit them for drafting and filing.
The change is procedural and limited to signature authority for theater license applications; committee members recorded no objection.
