Ridenour’s monthly pay was set at the same rate established for the previous city manager ($16,700 per month, or $200,400 annually). The agreement removes permanent-manager severance provisions and includes a guaranteed right to return to the deputy city manager position at the end of the interim term unless removed for cause.
Council members thanked Ridenour for stepping into the role and cited his work hours and continuity of operations. The council voted 5-0 to approve the employment agreement.
Outcome: Agreement adopted; staff to execute the contract and continue recruitment or appointment processes for a permanent city manager.
