Milpitas survey: 86% of residents satisfied, housing costs and road conditions remain top concerns

Milpitas City Council on Tuesday received results of the citywide community engagement survey showing 86% of respondents said they were satisfied with quality of life in Milpitas, while a large majority identified rising housing costs and cost of living as serious problems.
The presentation, delivered by Kurt Baylo of FM3 Research, summarized responses from about 647 interviews with an overall margin of sampling error of about ±4%: "86% of the people who took this survey...said they're satisfied with the quality of life in Milpitas," Baylo said during the presentation. He advised caution in reading small year-to-year shifts because they can be within the survey's margin of error.
