Myriada Senior Center reports rising demand, space and transportation needs

Senior‑center staff told the Parks and Recreation Commission on Jan. 16 that program attendance has rebounded since COVID and that the Myriada Senior Center is seeing increased demand for classes, meals and social services.
Jeri Copeland described the center’s planned calendar of monthly special events — from Super Bowl game-day gatherings and Valentine’s crafts in February to a Mother’s Day tea in May — and said the lunch program served through the County of Riverside reaches roughly 60–70 seniors per day, down from a recent high near 90 during peak periods.
