The board also accepted the district’s final audit for the 2023–24 fiscal year; the auditors noted two state compliance findings tied to TK class-size and adult‑pupil ratios that had an estimated fiscal impact “just over $39,000,” and district staff presented corrective steps already underway.
Trustees approved the 2023–24 SARCs, a revision to an administrative assistant job description (no monetary change), and a negotiated memorandum (MOU) to create a Medi‑Cal billing specialist position funded initially through a start‑up grant and, thereafter, by reimbursements captured through billing. Board members praised community generosity and the work of district staff and auditors.
