At its Jan. 23 meeting, the San Diego Community Power board took the following formal actions. All votes below were recorded on roll-call unless noted.
- Consent calendar: Adopted (9 items including minutes and periodic reports). Motion to adopt carried unanimously.
- Election of chair and vice chair: The board elected Mayor Gary as chair and Supervisor Tara Lawson Reimer as vice chair (motion and second recorded in minutes; vote carried unanimously by roll call).
- Item 11 — Finance & Risk Management Committee appointment: Board named a third committee member (self‑nomination accepted); motion carried by roll call.
- Item 12 — SD REN programs and budget agreement with SDG&E: Adopted Resolution 2025‑01 authorizing the CEO to accept and appropriate SD REN funds and to execute the agreement; motion carried unanimously.

- Item 15 — Contract with Maher Accountancy for general accounting professional services: Board authorized a multi‑year contract (three years plus two one‑year options) not to exceed the amounts stated in the record; motion carried unanimously.
- Item 16 — Sublease with Correlation Incorporated for additional office space: Approved; motion carried unanimously. Staff said the space is fully built out and negotiators reduced the rate to $3 per square foot per month from asking.
- Item 17 — Appointment to the Community Advisory Committee: Ross Pike appointed to represent the county of San Diego (unincorporated area); motion carried unanimously.
Several other items were presented as receiving files (rate update; regulatory and legislative update; Solar Battery Savings program update) and no formal board votes were required on those receiving‑file items.
