County hires Mott MacDonald for pavement-management system; $1M ARPA contract, vans finish data run mid-February

Citrus County is implementing a new pavement-management program that will combine high-definition road surveys and decision software to prioritize resurfacing and extend pavement life, Mott MacDonald project manager Katia Delgado told the commission.
Delgado described the program as three parts: data collection, software configuration and implementation. Two sensor-equipped vans are driving every paved county road to collect high-resolution video, laser and condition data; Mott MacDonald expected the field collection to finish around mid-February, with processing and quality control to follow.
