Jennings County school board approves roofing contract, staff appointments, software and donations

The Jennings County School Corporation Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a series of contracts, personnel appointments, donations and a resolution to dispose of surplus items during its meeting.
Board members approved awarding the Sand Creek roofing contract to South Central Roofing for $338,304 after determining the lowest bidder was not responsible because of an incomplete bid package. The board also approved a one-year contract with Transfinder for school bus routing software.
The board extended the contract of Jason Burton as Jennings County High School head football coach through the 2026–27 school year and approved Trey McAdam as a volunteer JCHS football coach effective Jan. 24, 2025.
