Brazos County Commissioners approve routine appointments, contracts, permits and budget items; executive session yields no action

The Brazos County Commissioners Court on Jan. 21 approved a series of routine appointments, contracts, leases and budget matters and acknowledged several reports; the court recessed for executive session and returned saying no action would be taken.

Actions approved included appointments to advisory boards and emergency services districts, acceptance of a small veterans donation, a vendor payment for tires damaged during law enforcement operations, an updated county investment policy, and several procurement- and contract-related items. The court also approved a contract for floor replacement at the Brazos Center, a permit for utility bores to install fiber conduit, tax refund requests, budget amendments and personnel changes.
