Commissioners voted to approve three budget revisions that county staff said move funds among accounts for the commission office, the extension office and the animal shelter to better reflect those offices’ financial needs. Mr. Aracich, a county staff member, told the commission the revisions would not create undue strain on the offices’ budgets and that the items were included as three separate revisions in the meeting packet.
The commission approved general county bills totaling $175,340.99 and P-card expenditures totaling $20,689.33, and separately approved payments from several restricted or special funds (listed in the meeting record as bridal shelter, sheltered workshop and library Lehi funds). The clerk recorded each approval by voice vote.
The board approved six exoneration orders after a motion to accept the orders; the meeting record lists the count as six but does not provide details about the properties or amounts involved.
Under correspondence the commission made two items a matter of record: a flyer from Tour of Honor Veterans and First Responders Charities announcing a 50-state, 500-memorial motorcycle ride scheduled April 1–Oct. 31, 2025, and a letter from the West Virginia Attorney General’s office notifying the county it will receive $30,000 in Q1 2025 from a settlement related to Pfizer and Ranbaxy. The chair asked whether the correspondence needed to be read aloud and the items were entered into the record without objection.
Commissioners also discussed forming a finance committee and adopting a timesheet that records start and end times rather than only daily hours. The item was presented as a recommendation: Mr. Aracich will lead creation of the financial report and Ms. Kane has begun work on the timesheet. The county anticipated both would be ready by April, but no formal committee vote or adoption of the timesheet was recorded in the transcript.
In other business the commission recognized a local resident for an athletics officiating award and announced upcoming board-of-equalization windows and other February meetings; the meeting record shows some confusion about an announced regular meeting date in mid-February (Feb. 13 and Feb. 15 were both referenced).
