The Bloomington City Public Safety Board elected Timothy (board member) as chair and Phil (board member) as vice chair during its Jan. 21 regular meeting and approved the consent agenda by voice votes.
Board members opened the meeting with a call for conflicts of interest and moved to nominations. An unnamed board member moved to nominate Timothy for chair; an unnamed board member seconded the motion and the presiding member called for a voice vote. The nomination carried after members answered “aye.” Later the presiding member nominated Phil for vice chair; Russell (board member) seconded that nomination, and the board approved it by voice vote.
The board also approved the consent agenda, which included minutes for the Dec. 17, 2024 regular session, payroll approvals covering late December 2024 and Jan. 10, 2025, and claims for the period of Jan. 17, 2025. An unnamed board member moved approval, the presiding member seconded, and the board adopted the consent items by voice vote.
All three actions were handled as routine agenda business; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript, and no members announced recusals or recorded oppositions.
