Mayor Dana Ralph announced that the City of Kent’s winter weather plan is available on the city website and urged residents to prepare as cold conditions and some ice appear.

Ralph said, "Winter weather plan is also out on our website. We've been feeling this cold weather here. Starting to see a little bit of ice. No snow yet, fortunately," and pointed residents to kentwa.gov/winter for preparedness tips and information on how the city handles streets and plowing.

The mayor did not provide new operational changes or a declaration of emergency; she presented the plan as a resource with tips and an explanation of the city’s approach to winter maintenance. No staffing or budget changes were reported in the update.
