The House Committee on Climate, Energy and Environment adopted its proposed committee rules at an organizational meeting Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, after a roll-call vote during the committee’s 8:06 a.m. convening.
Committee Chair John Lively called for a motion to adopt the proposed rules dated Jan. 21, 2025. Vice Chair Mark Gamba moved to adopt the rules; a second was not specified on the record. A roll call followed and members present voted to approve the rules.
The roll call recorded the following yes votes: Representative Tom Anderson; Representative Darcy Edwards; Representative Emerson Levy; Representative Courtney Neron; Representative Kim Wallen; Vice Chair Mark Gamba; Representative Bobby Levy; and Chair John Lively. Representatives Holmes, Osborne and Owens were recorded as excused. Chair Lively announced, “Motion passes. The rules are done.”
Adoption of committee rules establishes procedures for hearings, testimony and internal operations for the session. The committee moved next into informational business, opening presentations from the Oregon Department of Energy and the Department of Environmental Quality.
No amendments to the proposed rules and no formal dissents were recorded during the meeting.
