Vice Chair Bonham moved to adopt the proposed committee rules dated Jan. 21, 2025. “Vice Chair Bonham moves to adopt the proposed committee rules dated January 21, 2025,” he said. Committee Chair Kathleen Taylor called for discussion and, seeing none, asked whether there was any objection. The motion passed with no objection and the rules were adopted.
Committee membership was recorded in roll call after introductions of new members. Senators Khan Pham, Woods, Daniel Bynum, and Kathleen Taylor announced their districts; Senator Hayden was excused at roll call and later introduced himself after the rules vote.
The committee then closed the organizational meeting and moved on to scheduled public hearings for bills referred to the committee.
Proceedings continued with the committee taking up multiple public hearings scheduled for the first day of session.
