West Palm Beach announces street closures, barriers and hour changes for Waterfront Green Market

Araujo said closures and vehicle blocks will be in place between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. on streets surrounding the market and adjacent antique and flea markets. He identified the streets as North and South Flagler Drive, South Dixie Highway, North and South Olive Avenue, and North and South Narcissus Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Detouras Street.
"To provide a safe environment for our visitors and residents so they are safe and they feel safe," Araujo said on the city's This Is Your West Palm Beach program.
Officials also expanded Green Market hours: the market will operate Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through April 26, according to the announcement. Araujo said plans to tighten security were under development before the New Orleans New Year's attack and that the department sought to balance preparedness with continued public access.
