Arlington City Commission approves agenda and consent agenda; staff announces Feb. 4 docket

The Arlington City Commission unanimously adopted the meeting agenda and the consent agenda and later adjourned the meeting after brief commissioner and staff updates on Jan. 23, 2025.

The commission conducted routine business at a short session that included roll call, an agenda-correction note and three formal voice votes: approval of the agenda, approval of the consent agenda, and adjournment. The commission recorded four members present (Tim Abrahamson, Melissa Johnson, Gail Rober and Nathan Sen); Commissioner Jennifer Benton was excused.

"I motion to approve the agenda," a commissioner said; the motion was seconded and the chair announced the agenda was adopted by voice vote. The consent agenda was adopted in the same manner.

City staff gave a scheduling update for the next meeting. "We have a full schedule on February 4th, so be ready. So we have 9 new docket items, and then we'll have 6, September 2024 that we'll be processing this year. So we're at 15 total for processing in 2025, but only 9 on the 25 docket. And we still have a week left open to the public in case someone else comes in with something," City staff member Amy said.
