The Hays City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 4067 on Jan. 23 to annex the property located at 800 A Commerce Parkway following a staff presentation on the request.
City staff said the annexation request was consensual, the parcel is contiguous to city limits and currently zoned light industrial. Staff told the commission that water and sewer mains are available in front of the property and no main extensions would be required for connection. The application followed a lot split approved in late 2024 that created the parcel subject to annexation.
A commissioner moved to adopt Ordinance No. 4067; the motion passed as recorded at the meeting (4–0). Staff indicated that future water and sewer connections will follow standard city procedures after annexation.
