The court granted a 14‑day reset after defense counsel reported that Justin Guzman could not be located in the county facilities listed and that the jail database records may relate to a different person.
Defense counsel explained to the court that the client was not found at Atascosa or Garza West and asked for additional time to work with officers to locate him: "I would ask that we can see about putting this on the docket for another day to give me a little more time to contact the officer to see if he could investigate a little further on where exactly he is," counsel said. The court ordered a 14‑day reset to permit further attempts to locate Guzman and to obtain a supplemental report from probation.
The court noted that Guzman had a warrant reflected in court records and said the defendant could appear by Zoom if available; the judge instructed probation and defense to coordinate further inquiries and to notify the court if Guzman is located, arrested, or otherwise available for arraignment or supervised release.
