The Prosper ISD Board of Trustees on Jan. 23 accepted an unmodified (clean) audit for the 2023–24 fiscal year and approved several routine governance items, including personnel hires and an update to authorized users for the district’s tax pool investment account.
The audit presentation noted the general fund ended with $317,300,000 in revenues and $297,800,000 in expenditures for 2023–24. “For the General Fund, this results in a net change of $16,300,000 compared to 23.5 the previous year,” the district finance presenter said during the meeting. The report showed an unassigned fund balance of $84,900,000 (about 104 days of expenditures), rising to about 185 days if $66,000,000 committed to construction is included.
