Finance committee forwards authorization for Allen Gardens agreements to full board

After a brief period of technical issues and discussion about the motion, a committee member moved the item and another seconded it. The committee chair called for a voice vote and members said "aye." The chair then confirmed the motion would move to the full board meeting immediately following the committee session.
Committee discussion included a return to budget topics and broader questions about salaries and benefits as cost drivers, but the Allen Gardens item itself was moved without amendment to be considered by the board of directors.
The committee did not approve the final agreement at the committee meeting; rather, it authorized staff and counsel to proceed and recommended the item be placed on the full board agenda for final action.
