Residents from the Linda Vista neighborhood urged the Cupertino City Council on Jan. 22 to halt rezoning and the proposed Summerhill (Avios Court) development, saying they were not given adequate notice of rezoning that increases density near open space and existing single-family homes.
At the meeting David Yan, speaking for a neighborhood group, said the Everles/Avios property was not on the original notice list in 2022 and that a narrow notification in 2024 left residents unable to participate in public hearings. He said a 750‑signature petition opposing the rezoning had been filed but not acted on by the city.
