Board approves roofing contracts, E-Rate purchases, cameras and multiple finance and personnel resolutions

The Parma City Schools Board of Education voted unanimously on a series of administrative and purchasing measures at its Jan. 29 meeting, approving cooperative-purchase contracts for roof repairs, technology purchases contingent on Federal E‑Rate funding, installation of security cameras, routine finance items and multiple personnel resolutions.

What the votes mean

The roofing contracts were awarded using cooperative purchasing to expedite repairs; the E-Rate contingent purchase allows the district to proceed if federal funding is approved. The approved security-camera purchase authorizes acquisition and installation, but board discussion noted that lighting and other site improvements are separate needs and may require coordination with utility partners.
