The Marshall County Drainage Board on an administrative vote appointed Randy Glengel as board president and Stan Platz as vice president, and voted to allow the vice president to sign on the president’s behalf when the president is unavailable. The board also retained Angie as drainage board secretary and appointed Sean Cerisi as the board’s attorney.
The appointments were moved and seconded during the meeting. A voice vote followed each motion; the chair called the result “Motion carries.” Board members discussed that the president normally serves on the Kankakee River Basin Commission (KRBC) and that the president had volunteered for that role. The board also confirmed that the president typically attends KRBC meetings and that, when needed, the vice president would cover meetings and sign documents.
Board members raised no objection to retaining Angie as secretary. The board nominated Sean Cerisi for drainage board attorney and approved that appointment by voice vote.
The actions were procedural and intended to set officer duties and representation for inter-jurisdictional boards. No dollar amounts, effective dates or roll-call tallies were read into the record; the minutes record voice votes with the chair stating each motion carries.
