"We're taking a look at, a, an amendment committee amendment to H.27 ... and it's pretty straightforward amendment," said Michelle Childs, explaining the draft (1.1) corrects who appoints a victim advocate and adds the executive director of the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services as a member.
Committee members discussed the commission's size and the reasons for additional members. After brief discussion, a motion to accept the amendment was made and seconded; committee members then moved to report H.27 favorably as amended. The committee recorded a roll-call vote in which ten members voted yes and one member was recorded absent.
