Commissioners approve grants, road stimulus projects and $860,000 for Chancellor’s Run repairs; OK sheriff agreements and taxing district

The Board of County Commissioners used its Aug. 24 meeting to approve a slate of grants, budget amendments and infrastructure actions, including ARRA roadway projects and a large repairs package for a damaged county activity center.

Key decisions - Department of Aging: the board accepted a revised Notification of Grant Award that increased FY2010 senior care funding by $1,000 (project MD1003) to be used for items such as portable air conditioners or fans for qualifying clients.
