North Bend Art Industry thanks council for human services grant, announces move and 2025 event dates

Deborah Landers, speaking for North Bend Art Industry, thanked the City Council on Jan. 21, 2025 for awarding a human services grant that she said will help the young organization expand programs and services.
Landers told the council the group signed a lease on a new location and plans to begin moving Feb. 1, 2025, with classes expected to resume at the new site in March after limited renovations. She said North Bend Art Industry initially will lease one-third of the building and that the owner, Pacific Crest Environmental (Lauren and Bill Carroll), is holding other space for the organization to expand into; Landers said the organization plans eventually to purchase the entire property.
Landers listed several 2025 events: "Art off the Rails" at the depot on June 21, an art-supply swap (date to be determined), and Artist Sunday on Nov. 30. She said the new space is on State Route 202 between Snoqualmie and North Bend, across from the new play fields, and that the organization hopes to offer summer camps and collaborate with local science programs. She thanked council members for the grant support and invited council to the future ribbon-cutting and grand opening.
Landers did not specify the dollar amount of the human services grant during her remarks. Council members asked only clarifying questions about the address and timeline; no council action was required.
