Susquehanna Township board approves routine items, denies out-of-district tuition request

The Susquehanna Township School District Board of Directors approved a slate of routine agenda items and denied a single out-of-district student tuition request during its Jan. 21 meeting.
The board approved the meeting agenda and minutes from Dec. 16, 2024 and Jan. 6, 2025, adopted updates to the high school course catalog, and approved personnel actions, finance items and routine contracts. A field-placement agreement to host student teachers from a nearby college also passed.
Board members moved and seconded the routine items; votes were taken by voice for most motions. Several motions were presented without extended discussion, and the board chair called for the vote; the clerk reported motions carried.
On a separate item the board considered a student tuition request for the 2024–25 school year (student file referenced as 2024-254020). The motion before the board was to deny the tuition request. The board conducted a roll-call vote; the clerk read responses as recorded: (the roll-call sequence as read at the meeting) Tom Perino — Yes; Mr. Fultz — Yes; Ms. Hatcher — No; Mrs. Hill — Yes; Mr. Johnson — Yes; Mr. Rose — Yes.
